
Rattlesnake frozen in death during the California wildfires. His last defiant act was to strike at the flames that consumed him.

I don’t know if there’s a Valhalla for snakes, but now it’s wherever this snake went when it died.
That was not his last act. The snake was coiled up to escape the flames. After the body was hit by fire the heat shrunk the vertibre and nerves pulling it tight and up into what looks like a striking pose but instead is what happens when you super heat and shrink slightly a snake. Just like when you put heat to shrink wrap plastic and it contracts. The jaw fell open once the muscles holding it were gone.
Really guys, snakes are very bendable. There’s only one natural way the body could be in this pose and that’s as stated above.
