This February, I am due for surgery. No, it is not life threatening,
but it is something that will significantly improve my health and well
being. I’m really excited for it, actually! My insurance is going to pay
for the procedure, and I should be able to provide my own
transportation there and back.The problem is that my work only offers a few hours of sick pay every year.
I will be out of work for two weeks after the surgery and will have to
deal with reduced hours once I return, because the recovery process will
limit how active I can be.I was saving up to support myself during this time, but a recent
family emergency drained my finances almost completely. Between that,
the holidays, and my pets currently in need of vet care, I am left
wondering how I am going to support myself while I’m recovering.So … I’ve set up a gofundme.

Times are hard for all of us, especially with the holidays around the
corner. There are certainly causes more deserving than mine and people
who need the money more. And make no mistake – YOU need your money far
