Horde Prime and Hordak: Dark Side of Meritocraccy

I like the idea of Hordak being the brother of Horde Prime like in some past continuities. It could lead to an interesting

“My brother is my god and this has done me no favors. I have still had to work for everything I have.”

Hordak’s villainous philosophy could then be someone who looks at a lush paradise, and thinks “how dare they just have these wonders by accident of being born in the right place”. (Which was actually the justificiation used  by some in real life for taking over and oppressing the native Hawaiians.) And so destroys it so one could have it.

If they go with the toy-concept idea of He-Man and Skeletors swords originally being halves of the same sword (but in the reboot making them long since reforged and not obviously still halves) it could be a way to explain why He-Mans sword isn’t as … sinister as She-Ra’s in possbily trying to remake its owner/host.

Also a handy explanation for him not being able to pull off some of the more magical effects of She-Ra’s sword…unless he cooperates with Skeletor.

SPOP and Skeletor

I kind hope Skeletor isn’t given the backstory of Hordaks apprentice in a potential reboot, but more a local power on Eternia that Hordak allied with until they had a falling out.

Basically possbily a similar arangemment to what he has with Scorpia’s family.

It might even be standard operating procedure to find local allies/informants if Hordak really is just a stranded warlord of a larger organization.

Vultak in SPOP reboot possibility

Vulrak was an evil Zookeeper/poacher in the old show.

Now, what we see from the new show, Hordak doesn’t seem the the type to keep a personal menagerie. So what role could Vultrak fill?

A warbeast tamer.

A guy who grumbles about the good old days when the horde hadn’t fully built up its technological base, and when they used to have do things the more fun way, before all the automation.

So in modern times he just sits in his office, doing paperwork.

Until Catra brings in a pink lion…

Sweet Bee

I don’t know whether I want Sweet Bee to just be a natural bee person, a magical transhumanist like her toy bio, or not even necessarily a princess but have enough soft political power to get invited to Princess Prom. (More than just princesses were invited from what we can see, but it appears princesses have more diplomatic immunity.)

Also she was apparently a space pilot in the original show rather than a princess, which is awesome.

I want Adora accidentally uplifting animals to be a running gag

Bring back Enchanta

Originally I thought they should base her more on how terrifying real swans are.

But then I thought it would be funny and more fitting if she’s always apologizing to everyone she attacked as as normal swan, and everyone is just shocked at how many people in so many different lands she has assaulted.

Make the swan a repentant former criminal
