You know those infamous German Nintendo comics? I just found out in one of them Mario has a nightmare of Peach turning evil and teaming up with Dr. Wily to to turn Mario into their slave.

The only reason Bowser ever manages to kidnap the Princess is because all the shit you deal with spread out over the game as Mario gets dropped at her all at once.

She just KO’d five level bosses with one kick.

I really do actually want to see the dynamic between Peach and Bowser turned into a more Tom and Jerry dynamic but more equal win/losses. Make it a coin toss on whether Peach will be captured at the start of the game or manage to outmaneuver Bowser.

This doesn’t stop the plot since kidnapping Peach is often a side-plot of his goal of conquest.
