AlrIGHT Y’ALL IM NOT ONE TO DO THEse TYPES OF THINGS BUT I HAVE A THEORY FOR THE NEXT SEASON OF SPOP??
Corrupted She-ra will pop up again, probably to the Horde’s advantage.
You’re probably saying “lmao no shut up” BUT LISTEN BECAUSE I HAVE A SMALL EXPLANATION & SCREENCAPPED SOME SUBTITLES (Because Netflix is a big mean and won’t let me screencap the actual show-)
Okay so let’s get started.
With shows, foreshadowing is sometimes heavy. Especially with SPOP! Catra’s whole “aHH No BETRAyal” thing with Adora, and the moments where Adora is hanging on to save herself from falling, but Catra is there to save her. It might or might not have been obvious but I’m just here to point out what I saw.
Well, on Episode 6, “System Failure” there is that whole corruption disk thing that affects machinery and specifically, Adora’s sword. After the whole “She-ra is sick!” moment where Adora suddenly becomes aggressive and violent, she passes out on Glimmer and becomes all loopy.
Timeskip to when they get out of Entrapta’s lab, Adora says (check 21:27 on episode 6 if you want to check for accuracy):
And to that Bow replies with the second line, (21:34):
“What if it happens again?” Said by Adora, then some denial by Bow. That totally points towards it HAPPENING AGAIN. Especially how this problem is never brought up again for the rest of the season. It’s almost as if the writers wanted us to completely forget about how threatening this is towards the rebellion. Shutting down She-Ra, the Rebellion’s star.
Also! Bow shuts down Adora’s concern with a simple “we destroyed the problem.” But, the episode snaps to Entrapta who is fixing the disk and talking to her log. (22:11-22:37)
Now that Entrapta is on the “Horde’s side”, who knows. Maybe Catra can get a hold of this fact and use it to… (cough cough)
Catra: Squirt someone *cough* Adora *cough* in the eye.
Skeletor: …You shove lemons down Life’s throat and watch the light drain from their eyes. (All three stare at him with shock) …What? I overheard the conversation and wanted to put in my two cents.
By now I’ve met multiple people in my life who were unaware of any or all of the following and were delighted to learn them, so here is the master collection.
Scallops swim like they do in Spongebob
Scallops also have a bunch of googly eyes
Other mussels really do have big “tongues,” actually their “feet,” like on a snail or slug, which are basically their cousins
Every barnacle is an entire stationary crustacean, like a lobster or crab, and those are their legs
A sperm whale has a thin narrow little mouth and its lower jaw is basically a stick
Sea urchins walk around
Under the sea urchin is this mouth
Sand dollars are a type of sea urchin themselves and they just look like that
All sea anemones are meat eaters and mostly eat things about their own size
A starfish has a little eye on the end of each arm
Not only do octopuses have beaks but the bite of almost every octopus species is venomous, just in case shape-shifting, color changing, tentacles, suckers, ink and super intelligence weren’t enough super powers
plz comment with any you would like to add and also whether any were new or shocking to you
It’s likely that Catra thinks Scorpia and Entrapta are just using her as well and the relationship is a mutual, I find magic crystal tech for you and get you robots to play with/you make use those things to make weapons for me kind of thing. What will be interesting to see how Catra reacts to Entrapta either becoming a liability or wanting to become friends.
yep! i think that catra genuinely empathizes with both scorpia and entrapta’s feelings of being left behind. although she’s using that to convince them to do what she wants, the underlying connection is sincere. she knows exactly what to say because she feels the same way.
even with adora, their relationship was a mutual promise to protect each other. you protect me, i protect you. they were assets to each other, on top of just being fond of each other.
i think that catra will warm up to entrapta, just as she did to scorpia. she might not openly acknowledge that they’re all friends, but she’ll act in accordance to that. trusting them absolutely, looking out for them in her own way, confiding in them, etc.
but you actually bring up a very interesting idea–what if hordak decides that entrapta is too chaotic, too much of a liability, too risky? what if hordak orders his second-in-command, force captain catra, to either leave entrapta behind or lock her up for real?
if catra reaches a point at which she’ll be the one to have the power to be the one who leaves someone else behind and betray them, how will she react? will she remember how awful she felt, and how much she cares about entrapta, and refuse, or will she give in for the sake of power?
