…How slow does this species age? Also Sectonia is hinted to be millenia of years old in Robobot boss fight, with some of her body parts coming from species long extinct.
This raises questions of whehn they met.
Is this like how Kirby is considered young in the anime despite being super old?
Given the original idea was to have Lily be 16 years old according to earlier promotional materials, I suspect the idea of her being trans came somewhat late in development and her death was earlier going to be more from forced starvation to stunt her growth, keeping her looking younger to prolong her career.
If so, I’m glad they changed gears. It fits better with the overall tone of the show while they still kept her death being from stress caused by child stardom.
edit: To be clear, while her “age” was 12, her birth and death date indicated 16. All the characters had ages that were blatant lies when one looked at the dates with them all being actually older.
I love Yugiri because all the other girls have some frame of reference for what’s going on. They’re idols or just lived in the last 10 years or so. Yugiri? I dont think she has a concept of “zombie”, let alone cars or television or the internet. She just goes along with this futuristic hell she’s found herself in. There’s performances to do and younger girls to emotionally look after and she’s just like “alright, might as well.”
And the bone church is still the most Goth thing ever…
Do I want to know where those bones come from?!
In the mid 14th century, during the Black Death, and after the Hussite Wars in the early 15th century, many thousands were buried in the abbey cemetery, so it had to be greatly enlarged.
Around 1400, a Gothic church was built in the center of the cemetery with a vaulted upper level and a lower chapel to be used as an ossuary for the mass graves unearthed during construction, or simply slated for demolition to make room for new burials.
After 1511, the task of exhuming skeletons and stacking their bones in the chapel was given to a half-blindmonk of the order.
Between 1703 and 1710, a new entrance was constructed to support
the front wall, which was leaning outward, and the upper chapel was
rebuilt. This work, in the Czech Baroque style, was designed by Jan Santini Aichel.
In 1870, František Rint, a woodcarver, was employed by the Schwarzenberg family to put the bone heaps into order, yielding a macabre result. The signature of Rint, also executed in bone, appears on the wall near the entrance to the chapel.
Essentially it was a popular burial site for wealthy Catholics and they ran out of room. Eastern Europe is wild. [X]
I feel like “catholic to goth pipeline“ is one of the most accurate things I’ve seen today.
Here’s today’s Family Circus, in its entirety. There’s no joke, or attempt at a joke, or anything, just Billy screaming as his brother to fuck off. It’s great.
