While it is generally accepted that the American dub and edit of Godzilla 2000 is superior, I am saddened that the way the fight scenes are edited Orga comes off as a dumb brute in the American version, rather than desperate and struggling with a new body and this has greatly affected how fans view the kaiju. 

The idea of an intelligent alien mutating out of control while (mostly) keeping their mind because they meddled into forces they didn’t understand is an interesting one.

Then again the U.S. version has the scientist’s interpretation of Orga’s motivations completely flipped: in the Japanese version they wanted to copy Godzilla’s regen regenerate their old body, in the dub they wanted regenerator g1 to adapt to Earth’s atmosphere
